Hi Tony, Very interesting question. Howver, the only information I could find on the word/name "Akeelah" is that it is Arabic: meaning "Intelligent."
The name/word has several variations or spellings. Either one would need checking to ascertain which if any was or is affilated with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. From personal knowledge, my sons were in the Boy Scouts, and I do not recall ever hearing the word/name or anything resembling it. Hope this helps.
